💡 In 2018, the wreck of the Titanic was studied thanks to LiDAR during a research expedition of 6 weeks, entitled Titanic Survey. The RMS Titanic has not been studied since 2005! Thanks to LiDAR technology, the research team has been able to create a detailed 3D model of the ship by scanning it. This 3D model will be used as an objective reference in order to assess the decay of the wreck over time and will help document and preserve its submerged history…
