This project was not just a startup idea; it was a mission, the fruit of our years of research and our shared values. The idea for TheCrossProduct dates back almost to when we were PhD students. All three of us were fascinated by **the potential of 3D LiDAR and artificial intelligence**, technologies capable of revolutionizing our understanding and management of infrastructure. But beyond the technique, what united us was a shared conviction: these tools could and should be put at the service of the planet and society, starting with a key area: **mobility**, particularly railways and highways. As we talked, we identified a major problem: **transportation infrastructure**, while essential, was often poorly managed, with a disproportionate ecological and social impact. Existing technologies were not being used to address these critical issues. We knew we could change that."   **Our Mission **   "In 2021, as the world began to reassess its priorities after the COVID-19 crisis, we took the plunge and created TheCrossProduct. Our![kourosh-id](https://www.thecrossproduct.com/hs-fs/hubfs/kourosh-id.png?width=180&height=180&name=kourosh-id.png) mission was clear: to leverage 3D LiDAR technology to rethink the way infrastructure is monitored, analyzed and managed, with the goal of minimizing its environmental impact while **maximizing its efficiency**! Our name, TheCrossProduct, comes from the mathematical operation of the vector product, the essence of three-dimensional space, yxz… Using 3D LiDAR and artificial intelligence, we have developed automated solutions capable of **analyzing infrastructure** with ultra-precision, anticipating maintenance needs and guiding decisions to **reduce costs** and **limit environmental impacts**. We started with pilot projects in the railways and highway sectors, and the results exceeded our expectations. All our projects are fueled by a collective ambition: to make technology a lever for more efficient infrastructure management and a more sustainable future."           What started as an idea between friends is now a growing startup, with a talented and committed team.
