A Word from our Founders
The birth of TheCrossProduct
"I am Andrés Serna, CEO and co-founder of TheCrossProduct, and in 2021, together with my two friends Kourosh Beroukhim (CPO and co-founder) and Théodore Chabardès (CTO and co-founder), we founded TheCrossProduct. This project was not just a startup idea; it was a mission, the fruit of our years of research and our shared values.
The idea for TheCrossProduct dates back almost to when we were PhD students. All three of us were fascinated by the potential of 3D LiDAR and artificial intelligence, technologies capable of revolutionizing our understanding and management of infrastructure. But beyond the technique, what united us was a shared conviction: these tools could and should be put at the service of the planet and society, starting with a key area: mobility, particularly railways and highways.
As we talked, we identified a major problem: transportation infrastructure, while essential, was often poorly managed, with a disproportionate ecological and social impact. Existing technologies were not being used to address these critical issues. We knew we could change that."

Who are we?
"Today, TheCrossProduct is a team of 10 passionate people. Most of our collaborators come from the same scientific background: engineering, 3D modeling, data science and AI. Many of them have crossed our path during our years of research, and we all share a common vision: innovation must serve infrastructures. What makes us strong is this cohesion: we are not just a team, we are a community united by common values. All our projects are fueled by a collective ambition: to make technology a lever for more efficient infrastructure management and a more sustainable future."What started as an idea between friends is now a growing startup, with a talented and committed team. We know that the challenges ahead are immense, but we are certain that technology, guided by human and ecological values, can change mobility and infrastructure management.

Andrés Serna
Founder & CEO
Doctor in applied mathematics, with around 10 years of experience in the field of research and development, he is specialized in the processing of 3D LiDAR data!
Théodore Chabardès
Founder & CTO
With a PhD in mathematics and systems, Théodore began working as a research engineer. Two years later, he co-founded TheCrossProduct and became its Chief Technical Officer (CTO)!
Kourosh Beroukhim
Founder & CPO
Graduated from a Master's degree in computer science, Kourosh began his professional career as a research and development engineer before becoming co-founder and CPO of TheCrossProduct.

Coming from a dual engineering background and with more than 30 years of experience in industry and supporting innovative startups, Philippe will begin supporting TheCrossProduct in March 2022!

Doctor in geology, Benjamin starts working for TheCrossProduct as an R&D engineer in November 2021.
Elise Vi Nhu Ba

With a doctorate in geophysical imaging, Elise began her professional career as a research engineer. Then, in March 2022, she joined the TheCrossProduct team as an integration engineer!
David Duque
R&D Engineer
Doctor in mathematical morphology and computer vision, David starts working at TheCrossProduct in December 2021.
Déborah Lopez Rey
Marketing Manager
Holder of a Master's degree in Trilingual International Management, Déborah begins her professional career at TheCrossProduct in January 2023 as an intern then as Marketing Manager in August 2023. She is now Marketing Manager.
Digital technology must bring value to our engineering professions using tools that make us more efficient. When you spend several days processing 3D data, and suddenly you can automate this thanks to an algorithm developed by 
, directly available on the the setec capture platform, that's a huge gain!
By combining the professional expertise of setec, and the technical skills of , we have jointly developed an algorithm studying railway gauges, and identifying automatically the obstacles to the circulation. Through the launch of the platform Setec Capture, all companies are encouraged to invent new services based on the automation of tasks involving visual data.
