As with archaeology, LiDAR can locate subtle anomalies in the ground. In forensic science, LiDAR can facilitate the search for a missing or unmarked grave. In war zones, LIDAR is also used to detect buried interpersonal mines. LiDAR has also been integrated into crime scene reconstruction to scan crime or car accident areas.
