💡Optimize the control of wind turbines using 3D LiDAR technology? This is the IFP Energie nouvelles project in collaboration with Vaisala which consists of using LiDAR data in order to estimate the wind field upstream of the wind turbine. The objective of the project is then to reduce the mechanical use of the structure but also to stabilize the electricity produced. To do this, the project relies on 3D wind field reconstruction software, WindBox, allowing the wind turbine to improve its production while preserving its mechanics.
