A technology similar to radar is emerging! Have you ever heard of LiDAR? Lidar stands for Light Detection and Ranging. While radar uses radio waves and receivers, lidar uses light. In addition to being used extensively by archaeologists and astronomers, it has been available since 2020 on the iPhone 12 pro and the iPad pro and allows us to scan our surroundings.
In addition, this technology allows for accurate measurements and the creation of 3D digital twins of rail, road and industrial infrastructure.
