Particularly used in the field of industry, digital twins can also find their place in the world of culture and art in order to digitally preserve certain historical works. The virtual replica is then identical to the physical medium: a digital twin! Unsurprisingly, LiDAR technology is key to accurately recreate the digital replica. Digital twins are also used for construction projects, inventories and infrastructure assessment. In a nutshell, LiDAR is, once again, at the heart of development.
