Did you know?

💡 Recently the LiDAR made it possible to discover an archaeological site in France! Indeed, it is in the Pas-de-Calais (North region in France), in the forest of Olhain, that a Neolithic enclosure was recently discovered thanks to LiDAR. Thanks to observation and interpretation work on LIDAR coverage carried out in 2019, led by teams from the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP), the existence of an important archaeological site in the national forest of Olhain was revealed. The laser pulses of this LiDAR technology have brought to light archaeological remains hidden in the forest. This Neolithic enclosure dates from around 4,000 BC and covers more than 25 hectares!
